It is a rare occurrence to be asked to design a new farmhouse even more unusual that the farmhouse should utilise new technology in construction and low energy systems.
Our design for this new property in Buckinghamshire utilised the SIPS construction system of 200mm polystyrene and ply structural wall and roof panels, giving performance leading insulation values. Energy efficient, ground source heat pumps and solar collectors for space and water heating were also installed.
This means very low energy input is therefore required to maintain constant temperature.
With a design to reflect such technology this is truly a farmhouse for the 21st Century.
