Planning permission has been received for our Long Hanborough, Oxfordshire, project after a complex 18-month battle.
The £2.0m project for Hanborough Parish Council is to provide a new village Hub as an extension to their existing playing field pavilion. The building will house a Hub meeting area and café/restaurant with upgraded ancillary functions and an additional flexible hall for local clubs and committees. Facing the existing playing fields, it will also act as a pavilion and together with the new changing rooms will enhance the sports field accommodation.
Additional space is also to be provided for the pre-school nursery which is an existing long-term user of part of the building.
Delays in planning centred around the complicated Ecology requirements that are applied to a sports field site but were successfully overcome by our Ecology team of Luscinia Ecology and Morph Ecology.
Further development of the design is now underway to lead us into the next stages.
